Winnie the Pooh 詩集欣賞

左邊右邊... 
Pooh looked at his two paws.
He knew that one of them was the right,
and he knew that when you had decided which one of them was the right
then the other was the left,
but he never could remember how to begin.
維尼看著他兩隻熊掌,他知道其中之一是右邊,
他也知道當你選擇其中一邊是右邊時,
另外一隻就得是左邊了.但是他從來不記得是怎麼開始的.

想確定你在這兒 
Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
"Pooh!" he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet,
taking Pooh's paw.
"I just wanted to be sure of you."
-Piglet-

小豬悄悄的走進維尼背後,
"維尼!"他小聲的喊道.
"嗯,小豬?"
"沒事"小豬說.
他握起維尼的手掌.
"我隻是想確定你在這兒"
-小豬-

維尼被困住了 
In a short time, Rabbit returned with Christopher Robin.
"Cheer up, Pooh Bear. We'll get you out." Christopher Robin took hold of Pooh,
and Rabbit took hold of Christopher Robin.
And on the count of three, the pulled as hard as they could.
But pooh wouldn't budge.

"It's no use. I'm stuck."
Christopher Robin shook his head.
"Pooh Bear, there's only one thing to do
-- wait for you to get thin again."

在這短時間內,瑞比和克理斯多夫羅賓回來了,
"高興點,維尼,我們要救你出來了!"羅賓拉著維尼,瑞比拉著羅賓.
數到三之後,他們用盡最大的力氣,可是維尼並沒有移動.
"沒有用的,我被困住了."
羅賓搖搖頭的說
"維尼熊接下來隻有一個辦法了..
-就是等你瘦下來吧-

答應我 
"Pooh, promise you won't forget about me, ever.
Not even when I'm a hundred."
Pooh thought for a little.
"How old shall I be then?"
"Ninety-nine."
Pooh nodded.
"I promise," he said.

"維尼,答應我你永遠不會忘記我,甚至我到了100歲."
維尼想了一會.
"那,那時我幾歲呢?"
"99歲"
維尼點點頭.
"我答應你.

蜂蜜還是乳酪 
Rabbit said, "Honey or condensed milk with your bread?"
Pooh was so excited that he said,
"Both,"and then, so as not to seem greedy,
he added, "But don't bother about the bread, please."

瑞比問維尼"你要你的麵包配蜂蜜還是乳酪呢?"
維尼非常的高興,他說
"都要"但是他不想那麼貪心
他又說,"不過不要麵包了."


依唷 
"Oh, Eeyore, you are wet!" said Piglet, feeling him.
Eeyore shook himself,
and asked somebody to explain to Piglet what happens
when you have been inside a river for quite a long time.

"喔,依唷,你全身濕透了!"小豬摸著依唷的身體說道.
依唷感到驚訝,他叫別人和小豬解釋
當你在河裏待一陣子時
就會這樣了.




依唷生日 
"You seem so sad, Eeyore."
"Sad? Why should I be sad?
It's my birthday. The happiest day of the year."
"Your birthday?" said Pooh in great surprise.
"Of course it is. Can't you see?
Look at all the presents I have had."
He waved a foot from side to side.
"Look at the birthday cake. Candles and pink sugar."
Pooh looked -- first to the right and then to the left.
"Presents?" said Pooh.
"Birthday cake?" said Pooh. "Where?"
"Can't you see them?"
"No," said Pooh.
"Neither can I," said Eeyore. "Joke," he explained.
"Ha, ha!"

"你看起來很悲傷,依唷."
"悲傷？為什麼我會悲傷？今天是我的生日.一年之中最快樂的日子啊"
"你的生日？"維尼相當的驚喜.
"當然啦,你看！你看我的得到的生日禮物"
依唷搖搖他的腿.
"看這生日蛋糕,蠟燭,還有粉紅糖."
維尼仔細的從右到左看了看,
"禮物？"維尼問道
"生日蛋糕？"他又問."在那裏呢?"
"你看不到嗎?"
"嗯"維尼說.
"我也看不到"依唷回答著."開玩笑的"他解釋著.
"哈哈"
